Twitter, le fameux outil de micro-blogging se développe et commence peu à peu à se démocratiser sur le Web. Je vous parlais dans ce billet de ma découverte et de mes premières utilisations de Twitter mais nul doute que l’usage de cet outil peut s’étendre au monde de l’entreprise et faire du business.

Vous pourrez trouvez tout un tas d’informations sur les possibilités offertes par cet outil et comment les utiliser. Le résumé des 30 applications essentielles est vraiment sympa et offre un panorama rapide et complet de ce qui est possible avec cet outil de communication.
Pour ma part je pense que le frein principal à l’utilisation de Twitter est le manque d’utilisateurs, en effet on en dénombre 6 millions à travers le monde, contre 140 pour Facebook. De plus cet outil n’est vraiment pas connu du grand public, il est surtout fréquenté par des technophiles et autres passionnés du web. C’est n’est pas une raison pour ne pas s’y intéresser ! Je pense qu’avec un petit coup de pouce des médias ou l’utilisation de Twitter par des “célébrités” la fréquentation de Twitter pourrait connaître un extraordinaire bond en avant, notamment du fait de son extrême simplicité. Et à ce moment les entreprise déjà présentes auront un avantage certain.
Récemment un exemple de l’utilisation de Twitter en entreprise à fait sensation ! Dell à réalisé 100 million de dollars de chiffres d’affaires depuis 2007 grâce à cet outil en envoyant des offres promotionnelles à tous les followers du compte Dell. Des opportunités existent vraiment.
Je voudrais finir sur un billet de Cédric Deniaud qui parle des usages de Twitter pour une entreprise avec ses clientsqui nous expliquent clairement les possibilités offertes pour utiliser Twitter dans la gestion de la relation client.
Pour moi toutes entreprises présentes sur le web devrait s’intéresser fortement à Twitter et à l’usage qu’elles pourraient en faire.
